Expert Nutrition Care
Without the Guesswork

Generic diet advice can leave you more confused than when you started. Our approach is different. Every Body Fusion Dietitian is an Accredited Practising Dietitian credentialled with Dietitians Australia, the nutrition credential recognised by Medicare and most private health funds. That means the guidance you receive is grounded in current evidence and tailored to your circumstances.

We use dietary restriction only where it is clinically indicated, always with a clear plan to reintroduce variety wherever possible. Where relevant, we are happy to work alongside your GP, specialist or wider treatment team, so your nutrition care sits within the broader picture of your health rather than separate from it. Individual needs and outcomes vary, and your dietitian will tailor any plan to you.

Our Dietitian Services

Choose the area that best matches what you are looking for. Each service has its own page with more detail, or you can mention what is going on for you on a Discovery Call and we will guide you from there.

01

Sustainable weight management and weight loss support with an Accredited Practising Dietitian, built around behaviour change and your individual lifestyle rather than quick fixes or rigid meal plans. Suitable for a range of clients, including those managing chronic conditions or with a history of disordered eating, where care is adapted accordingly.

02

Dietitian-led nutrition support for people using GLP-1 medications as part of their weight or metabolic health care. We help you eat well while your appetite changes, maintain adequate nutrition and protein, and build habits that support your health, working alongside the doctor who prescribes and manages your medication.

03

Nutrition support for people living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, focused on practical eating strategies to help manage blood glucose alongside your medical care. We work with your GP, endocrinologist or diabetes team where appropriate, and eligible clients may access Medicare rebates through a CDM Plan.

04

Evidence-based nutrition support for type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, heart health, hypertension, fatty liver, metabolic syndrome and other chronic conditions. We focus on practical, sustainable dietary strategies, often in collaboration with your GP or specialist, and eligible clients may access Medicare rebates through a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan.

05

Personalised nutrition support for performance, recovery, body composition and competition preparation, tailored to your sport, training load and goals. Suitable for recreational through to competitive athletes, with practical strategies for fuelling, hydration and recovery rather than rigid protocols.

06

Structured, evidence-based support for IBS, bloating, food intolerances, reflux and other digestive concerns, delivered by dietitians with further training from Monash University in the low FODMAP diet. Done properly, low FODMAP is a structured three-phase process with a clear endpoint, not a long-term restrictive diet.

07

Hormone-aware, life-stage-specific nutrition support for PMOS, endometriosis, perimenopause, menopause, fertility and pregnancy. Care is grounded in current evidence rather than trends, and shaped around your goals, your health history and the realities of everyday life.

08

Calm, pressure-free nutrition support for children and adolescents, covering fussy eating, growth, food allergies and childhood chronic conditions such as coeliac disease and type 1 diabetes. Sessions are family-centred, with parents and carers involved in a way that fits your household and your child’s stage of development.

09

One-on-one nutrition guidance for balanced, sustainable eating when you do not have a specific diagnosis but want to feel better in your body and your everyday habits. A practical starting point for general nutrition, energy and building a healthier relationship with food.

10

Practical nutrition education for workplaces and groups, delivered by Accredited Practising Dietitians. Sessions can be tailored to your team’s interests, from everyday healthy eating and energy to gut health and general wellbeing, translating current evidence into strategies people can actually use.

11

Secure video consultations with our dietitians from wherever you are, available Australia-wide. Telehealth makes it easier to fit appointments around work, travel and family, and is well suited to clients in regional areas or anyone who prefers the comfort of home. The same evidence-based care applies across every service.

12

Compassionate, non-judgmental nutrition support for people navigating eating disorders and disordered eating. Our care is weight-inclusive and non-diet, delivered as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside your GP, psychologist or psychiatrist, and always paced to where you are. You do not need a formal diagnosis to reach out.

Medicare & Private Health Rebates.

No referral is needed to book a private appointment with our dietitians. If you would like to access Medicare rebates, eligible clients with chronic conditions may do so through a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan from their GP, and eligible clients may also access an Eating Disorder Plan (EDP) where appropriate.

Many private health funds offer rebates for dietitian consultations under extras cover. Rebate amounts and eligibility vary, so your GP and your health fund are the best people to confirm what applies to you.

Frequently asked

Common Questions.

Booking a dietitian for the first time often comes with questions. Here are answers to the ones we hear most often from new clients.

Do I Need a Referral to See a Dietitian?

No. You can book a private appointment with our dietitians without a referral. A referral is only needed if you would like to access Medicare rebates, which are available to eligible clients through a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan or, in some cases, an Eating Disorder Plan (EDP) from your GP. Your GP can advise whether you are eligible.

In Australia, Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) is a credential regulated by Dietitians Australia, and it is the qualification recognised by Medicare and most private health funds. Dietitians are qualified to provide individualised medical nutrition therapy for health conditions. Every clinician at Body Fusion is an Accredited Practising Dietitian.

Eligible clients with chronic conditions may access Medicare rebates through a CDM Plan from their GP, and eligible clients may access an Eating Disorder Plan where appropriate. Many private health funds also offer rebates for dietitian consultations under extras cover. Rebate amounts and eligibility vary between individuals and funds, so it is best to check with your GP and your health fund to confirm your level of cover.

Yes. We offer secure telehealth video consultations Australia-wide across all of our services. Telehealth is a convenient option if you live outside Sydney, travel often, or simply prefer to meet from home. You can choose in-clinic or telehealth appointments to suit your needs.

If you are not sure which service fits, that is completely fine. Many concerns overlap, and a Discovery Call is the easiest way to work it out. Tell us what is going on for you and we will point you toward the most appropriate service, or the right combination, before you book an initial consultation.

We see clients in person at four Sydney clinics: Hunters Hill in the Inner West, Lane Cove on the North Shore, Rozelle in the Inner West, and North Sydney on the Lower North Shore. Telehealth appointments are also available Australia-wide.
