No referral is required to book a private appointment. If you would like to access Medicare rebates, you will need a referral from your GP under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan or Eating Disorder Plan (EDP). Your GP can advise whether you are eligible.
Eligible clients with chronic conditions may be able to access Medicare rebates through a CDM Plan from their GP. Many private health funds offer rebates for dietitian consultations under extras cover. We can process your private health rebate on the day of your appointment using HICAPS, where supported.
