The session went well, but the fuelling around it is guesswork: what to eat before training, how to recover, whether you are getting enough.

Accredited Sports Dietitian
About Chyncia
Chyncia is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Sports Dietitian at Body Fusion. She holds a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Newcastle and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Sydney, and has completed Sports Dietitians Australia training.
A dancer herself, Chyncia understands first-hand what it takes to fuel a body that trains and performs. Her care is grounded in current evidence and shaped around your sport, your goals and your everyday life. Individual needs and outcomes vary.

01
Sports nutrition
practical strategies for fuelling, hydration, recovery, body composition and competition preparation, tailored to your sport and training load.
02
Women’s health
life-stage-specific nutrition support shaped around your goals, health history and everyday routine.
03
Paediatric support
working with children and their families around fussy eating, food aversions and the eating patterns that often come with being neurodivergent, at a pace that suits your child.
03
Chronic condition management
evidence-based dietary support for conditions such as high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes and related concerns, often alongside your GP or specialist.
04
Everyday nutrition
guidance for energy, balance and a sustainable relationship with food, without rigid protocols.
Chyncia focuses on practical strategies you can actually maintain, not rigid rules or short-term fixes. She takes time to understand your training, your body and the realities of your week, then builds a plan that fits around them. As a former dancer, she knows performance nutrition from the inside, and she is happy to work alongside your coach, GP or wider treatment team where relevant, so your nutrition sits within the broader picture of your health and performance.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Quesitons
Common questions we receive from clients seeking ongoing health support.
Is Chyncia Salerno a Qualified Sports Dietitian?
Yes. Chyncia is an Accredited Sports Dietitian as well as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credentialled with Dietitians Australia. She holds a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Newcastle and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Sydney, and has completed Sports Dietitians Australia training. This means she is qualified to provide individualised sports and medical nutrition care.
What Are Chyncia's Main Areas of Focus?
Chyncia focuses on sports nutrition, women’s health and chronic condition management, alongside everyday nutrition support. She works with recreational through to competitive athletes on fuelling, recovery and performance, and also supports clients wanting life-stage-specific women’s health nutrition or evidence-based help with a chronic condition. Many clients see her for more than one of these at once, and her care is adapted accordingly.
What Is the Difference Between a Sports Dietitian and a Regular Dietitian?
All Accredited Sports Dietitians are first Accredited Practising Dietitians, with additional training in nutrition for exercise and performance. A sports dietitian can help with fuelling around training and competition, recovery, hydration and body composition, on top of general nutrition care. Chyncia holds both credentials, so she can support your performance goals and your wider health in the one plan.
Can Chyncia Help With Fussy Eating and Children's Nutrition?
Yes. Chyncia works with children and their families around fussy eating, food aversions and the eating patterns that often come with being neurodivergent. The focus is on supporting your child and building confidence around food over time, rather than pushing them to eat a certain way. She works alongside your GP, paediatrician or other therapists where relevant, and any approach is shaped around your child and your family routine. Individual needs and outcomes vary.
Do I Need a Referral to Book With Chyncia?
No. You can book a private appointment with Chyncia without a referral. A referral is only needed if you would like to access Medicare rebates, which are available to eligible clients through a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan from your GP. Your GP can advise whether you are eligible for a rebate based on your circumstances.
Does Chyncia Offer Telehealth Appointments?
Yes. Chyncia offers secure telehealth video consultations Australia-wide, as well as in-person appointments at Body Fusion’s Sydney clinics. Telehealth is a practical option for athletes who travel for training or competition, clients outside Sydney, or anyone who prefers to meet from home. You can choose whichever format suits you, and the same evidence-based care applies either way.
Where Does Chyncia Consult in Sydney?
Chyncia sees clients in person across Body Fusion’s Sydney clinics, with North Sydney on the Lower North Shore as the main clinic, and additional locations in Hunters Hill, Lane Cove and Rozelle. Telehealth appointments are also available Australia-wide, so you can see her wherever you are. Call reception on 0422 297 721 to check availability and book.
Can I Claim Medicare or Private Health for Appointments With Chyncia?
Eligible clients with chronic conditions may access Medicare rebates through a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan from their GP. Many private health funds also offer rebates for dietitian consultations under extras cover. Rebate amounts and eligibility vary between individuals and funds, so it is best to confirm your cover with your GP and health fund before your appointment.
