Our Approach
to Nutrition Care

Choosing a dietitian is a personal decision, and how a clinic works matters as much as what it treats. At Body Fusion, our Accredited Practising Dietitians combine nutrition science with a non-diet, personalised approach, so support fits your life and lasts well beyond a single appointment.

What a Non-Diet Approach Means

A non-diet approach means we do not hand you a rigid meal plan or a list of forbidden foods. Instead, our dietitians look at your whole picture, your health history, your routine, your preferences and your relationship with food, and help you make realistic changes. The aim is a calmer, more confident way of eating that you can keep up for the long term.

This philosophy runs through our full range of dietitian services, from weight management to gut health and IBS support. Rather than short-term fixes, we focus on sustainable habits and a healthier mindset around food, without judgement or pressure.

Care Built Around You, Not a Template

No two people eat, live or feel the same way, so no two plans should look the same. Every recommendation we make is tailored to your goals, your medical history and the way you actually live, whether you are managing a condition, navigating a life stage or working toward a healthier weight.

Our dietitians take the time to understand what has and has not worked for you before, so support feels practical rather than overwhelming. You help set the pace, and we adjust the plan as your needs and circumstances change.

How Our Dietitians Work as a Team.

Body Fusion clients are seen by Accredited Practising Dietitians who bring complementary areas of focus. This means you can be matched with the dietitian whose expertise best fits your goals, and draw on the wider team’s knowledge when your needs cross several areas.

One of our dietitians focuses on weight management and women’s health, while another is an Accredited Sports Dietitian with a growing focus on paediatric nutrition for children and their families.

You can read more about our dietitians and their qualifications on our meet the team page.

Support That Continues
Between Appointments
.

We see good nutrition care as more than a single plan handed over at your first visit. Follow-up appointments give you a consistent point of accountability, a chance to review what is working, adjust what is not, and keep building habits that fit your life.

This ongoing support helps you stay on track between sessions and adapt as your circumstances change. Many clients find that regular check-ins make working toward lasting change feel far more manageable.

Your Journey From First Enquiry to Lasting Changes.

Knowing what to expect can make reaching out easier. Here is how working with a Body Fusion dietitian usually unfolds:

Your plan

Together you agree on practical steps that suit your routine, preferences and budget, with no rigid rules or off-limits foods.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Quesitons

Common questions we receive from clients seeking ongoing health support.

What is a non-diet approach to nutrition?
A non-diet approach moves away from restrictive rules, calorie counting and off-limits foods, and toward a sustainable, individual way of eating. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all diet, you work with your dietitian to build habits that suit your body, your routine and your goals. The focus is on a healthier, calmer relationship with food that you can maintain long term.
In Australia, Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) is a nationally recognised, regulated credential. All dietitians can also work as nutritionists, but not all nutritionists have completed the university qualifications and supervised training required to be a dietitian. Our team are Accredited Practising Dietitians and meet the ongoing standards set by Dietitians Australia.
A dietitian is a qualified health professional who provides evidence-based nutrition advice tailored to your health and goals. This can include support for weight management, chronic disease management, gut health, women’s health, sports nutrition and paediatric nutrition. At Body Fusion, your dietitian works with you to create a practical, personalised plan and reviews it with you over time.
No. You can book privately at any time without a referral. If you have a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on a set number of visits each year. Many private health funds also provide cover for dietetics, so it is worth checking your policy for the details.
Yes. Body Fusion offers secure telehealth video consultations Australia-wide, so you can see the same dietitian and receive the same personalised care without travelling to a clinic. Telehealth can be a good fit if you live outside Sydney, have a busy schedule or prefer to meet from home.

We have five clinics across Sydney: our main clinic in Hunters Hill, plus Rozelle, Lane Cove, North Sydney and our newest location in Epping. Appointments are also available by telehealth. You can find current clinic details and opening hours on our locations page.
